West of Ayodhya lies Guptahari (Guptar Ghat) — a great Vishnu sthana where Lord Rama performed His Jal Samadhi. By Rama's command, the citizens of Ayodhya entered the Saryu and attained Vaikuntha. Bathing here with devotion purifies all sins and grants Vishnu Lok. Today one of Ayodhya's most visited ghats.
