The Royal Gateway

Raj Dwar Mandir marks one of the historic gateways of ancient Ayodhya, situated near the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. In the Ramayana era, this was one of the grand entrances to the royal court of King Dasharath.

The temple at this site preserves the memory of Ayodhya's glorious past as the capital of the Raghuvanshi dynasty. Pilgrims visiting the Janmabhoomi Kshetra often pass through this historic gateway.
